Worldstone is a fan-made Diablo IV app for r/Diablo4, made by Demonly LLC. It runs as a post inside Reddit (the inarius-d4 app). The timers, posts and news it shows are fetched by Demonly’s servers. This page covers the app and those servers.

The short version

If you don’t turn on alerts, the app stores nothing about you. If you do, we store which alerts you picked, the time window you picked, and a count of alerts sent so we can keep to our limits. Turning alerts off deletes your settings right away.

Using the app

Opening or reading the post doesn’t create any record about you. The app has no accounts of its own. It uses no cookies, analytics, ad identifiers, or tracking of what you view or tap.

The app does keep one short note in your browser’s local storage: which tab you tapped before expanding the post, so it can open on that tab. The note is removed once it has been used, is ignored if it is more than a minute old, and stays on your device.

If something breaks in the app, it may send us a short error report (the error text, where in the code it happened, and whether the post was expanded) so we can fix it. These reports don’t include your Reddit username or user ID.

Alerts

Alerts are optional Reddit notifications for things like a world boss about to spawn. They are off until you turn them on with the bell in the app. Nothing in the app requires them.

If you turn alerts on, we store one small record under your Reddit user ID:

• the alert types you chose
• your send window, saved as a starting hour in UTC
• a version number, so we can update the format later

We don’t store your username, timezone, location, IP address, device details, or email address.

You pick the send window (afternoon, evening, or late evening) in your own local time. Your browser turns that into a UTC hour before sending it to us, so your timezone is never sent or stored. Because we only keep the hour, a daylight saving change moves your window by an hour until you pick it again.

We limit alerts to two a day and three a week per person. To do that, we keep a count of how many alerts we sent you, tied to your Reddit user ID. There is one count for the day and one for the week, and each deletes itself: the daily one two days after the last alert of that day, the weekly one nine days after the last alert of that week. The counts are numbers only and don’t record which alerts you got.

Whether you are subscribed to notifications is kept by Reddit, and Reddit delivers them. The app asks Reddit for that status when you open the post and doesn’t save it. When an alert goes out, we give Reddit the list of people who should get it. Reddit’s Privacy Policy covers that part.

How we use it

Only to decide who gets an alert, of the types and at the times they chose. We don’t build profiles, sell or share this data, or use it for advertising. Worldstone has no ads and no sponsors.

How long we keep it

• If you turn alerts off from the bell in the app, your settings record is deleted right away.
• If you stop visiting, it is deleted 30 days after you last opened the post. Opening the post resets that clock; sending you an alert doesn’t.
• The daily and weekly counts expire on their own, as described above, whether alerts are on or off.

We don’t make backups or copies of these records.

Server logs

When the app’s server or anyone else requests data from our servers, we log the IP address, the path, and the time. We use these logs only to spot abuse and fix problems. Our servers sit behind Cloudflare, which also handles requests under its own privacy policy.

The Reddit app’s requests to our servers are made by Reddit’s servers, so they don’t carry your IP address or anything else that identifies you.

The data the app shows

The app shows world event timers from helltides.com, official Blizzard forum posts and news (with their pictures), and posts from the official Diablo account on X. All of it is fetched by our servers. The app itself never contacts Blizzard, helltides.com, or X, and sends them nothing about you. Pictures and profile images are fetched by our servers and passed along. Tapping a link opens that site in your browser, and that site’s own privacy policy applies.

Children

Worldstone isn’t aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. Reddit requires users to be 13 or older.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll update the date at the top. Using the app after a change means you accept the new version.
